Community Anthologies in the works

We’re getting closer to publishing the community anthologies, Recipes to Remember and What’s in a Name? We are working on proofing the texts right now. We hope to publish them in late September. Sorry it’s taking so long. As soon as they are available, we will post information on how to obtain copies. Thank you for your patience!

  1. Hello, Just wanted to thank you for the wonderful programs regarding The Big Read Dearborn. I am chairperson of the Hope Book Club in Dearborn, held at Hope Lutheran Church. We have 18 members, and enjoy the book kits, the library provides. I pick up a kit every month….we have one month to read the book, and then have a great discussion, and rate the book. We have read 100 books (from the great kits the library provides). Twenty of those books, we have given a ’10″…..on a scale of 1 to 10.

We all have a copy of “The Namesake”. It was our summer read, and we will be discussing and rating at our next meeting. I’ll be presenting the book, and look forward to a great discussion. I thought it was a great read.

Thanks again for all the library provides.

    • Thank you for your comment, Lois! We’d be interested in which 20 you’ve rated as ’10’. Next time you’re in, drop it off at the reference desk if you don’t mind. Thanks for using the Dearborn Public Library. We really appreciate your support.
