The Dearborn Public Library is hosting a public “Meet & Greet” on Oct. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Henry Ford Centennial Library for the authors of Dreaming Dreams No Mortal Ever Dared to Dream Before, a community anthology of Edgar Allan Poe-inspired stories and poems created by over 150 authors, many of whom have close ties to Dearborn.
The event is free and registration is not required. Light refreshments will be served.
The book was a result of the Big Read celebration of Edgar Allan Poe earlier in 2016. Its chapter headings include: Celestial, Dreams, Ghost, Horror, Madness, Mystery, Poetry, and Tribute.
There will be an opportunity for 10-15 authors to sign up to read their story or poem to the audience.
A limited number of copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event for $16 each. Copies can also be purchased online at Createspace.com or Amazon.com. All proceeds go towards funding future community-wide reading projects in and around Dearborn. Additionally, with a Dearborn Public Library card, you can reserve a copy for checkout here.
